Welcome to my blog. I am new at this so I am not sure how exactly to format this. I am creating this in order to share experiences about motherhood and all it entails.
I am a physician and have had three homebirths.
I started a company called Nurse-well see www.nurse-well.com to help mothers with breastfeeding. I found after my first child was born that the most difficult task was breastfeeding. After speaking with many other mothers I realized that what was over looked most was the nutritional need of the mother during this time. Alot of emphisis is put on what one eats while pregnant but very little is said about the time post-partum.
If I do not drink upward of 2 litres of water a day I will suffer the side effects. I get headaches, nausea and feel lethargic all symptoms that lead to depression and a feeling of not being able to cope. It is not easy to keep up with this fliud demand and my husband and I created the Nurse-wellTM to help. It is a resevoir holding 2 liters with tubing attached and a bite valve. So now I can drink while lying down and without the use of my hands. I don't risk spilling water all over me, the baby or the bed.

Hello,
sorry if this sounds weird, but I just wanted to pop in and say 'hi' and send some greetings.
My name is also Christina Siegel and I was googling it *g*. I know I'm not the only one, there are several others here in Germany, but I was surprised to see someone from overseas :)
Mind if I ask how people pronounce (y)our name ? Some of my english speaking friends poke fun at me, by pronouncing it 'seagull' ;)

It is funny you should ask as we get lots of variations on the pronounciation "seagull" being the most common!
I like that you use Criz my nickname is Stina.
Nice to know we are not alone in name.
